It was with her that everything really started. When I first saw her, she was very thin and had an abscess almost the size of a tennis ball on her cheek.

I managed to win her trust and treat the abscess – that was the beginning of our friendship. We were able to catch her and get her spayed.

To this day, she lives in the area around my holiday accommodation, where I regularly spend my "vacations" – which in reality are mostly work assignments, as there are always cats that need to be caught, spayed or neutered, treated, and cared for.

Fortunately, there is Davor, the caretaker and now a good friend, who feeds the cats in exchange for a small regular contribution whenever I'm not there.

During one of my visits, Sarayu was injured again, this time on her neck – but we managed to get her through that, too. The once thin, injured, and shy cat has turned into a happy, content animal.
